This was our very first starting point with Lochlon. After discovering he couldn’t even calculate 8 + 2 in his head, we took him back to basics with Rainbow Maths, starting from 0 – 10, and then when he mastered that, we helped him understand that calculating 20-30 and onward was the same. Calculating in his head got a lot easier for him after learning this easy skill, which is something he said he was never taught before now.
